Paddle Round the Pier

This year’s Paddle Round The Pier, sponsored by Feelfit, is looking to raise in excess of £20,000 for this year’s charities - The RNLI, SurfAid International and local children’s charity, The Rockinghorse Appeal.

Around 20,000 people are expected to head to the event across the weekend, which is held on 4 and 5 July on Hove Lawns and the nearby beach area.

Dave Samuel, Paddle Director said: “The event is free for visitors, but we are asking people to donate on entry or to the volunteers who will be walking around the event with collecting buckets.”

There is a huge amount of activity taking place over the two days! Make sure you find out what is going on at www.paddleroundthepier.com, but here is a little taste of some of the highlights:

Water events

SurfAid International Enduro SUP Race, Errant Pier2Pier Malibu races, A1Surf.com Under 8’s Groms Comp, Perception Kayaks Scooter Challenge, the Paddle Something Unusual, the Emotion Kayaks Tandemonium, the Outrigger Canoe races, plus the original Paddle Round The Pier.

Land events

Ocean Sports & Vans Slalom Skate comp, VW Beach Buggy Display, Urban Athletics Parkour Crew, White Crane Fighting Arts & Kung Fu and the Chilled Turtle Ukulele Jam.
