One of the 44 County Sports Partnerships, Active Sussex’s main aim is to increase participation in sport and physical activity at a local level.
Working with partners in the public, private and voluntary sectors, including National Governing Bodies of Sport, local authorities, leisure trusts, education and businesses, we push for sustained investment in sport at a local level.
Predominantly funded by Sport England, we contribute to the government’s agenda to increase the number of people participating in sport and physical activity nationally.
We are a registered charitable trust with a Board of Trustees, consisting of individuals with skills and expertise across the sectors, bring the necessary skills and experience to govern Active Sussex. Meet Our Board.
The Active Sussex Team, consisting of 10 employees, offers expert advice whether you are working or volunteering in sport. Meet Our Team.

Equality & Diversity
Active Sussex is committed to encouraging diversity and inclusion across the services we deliver and the partnerships we support. We also promote equitable practice within our own organisation.
In 2013 we achieved the Foundation Level of Sport England’s Equality Standard: A Framework for Sport and we continually work to develop and improve our expertise.
