Active Sussex team

Miguel joined Active Sussex in December 2009 after several years working for Sports Development in the Brighton & Hove City Council as well as being a basketball coach.

Miguel’s post is funded by England Basketball and Sussex Basketball to increase basketball opportunities for everyone in the county. The objectives include creating new basketball competitions, reinforce school/club links, facilitate officiating courses were needed and working closely with clubs to increase accreditation level.

To get there Miguel will create a database of Sussex basketball contacts as well as a Sussex Basketball Development Group. So if you are involved in basketball please get in touch.

Miguel plays in the Sussex basketball league and is a keen volunteer when it comes to coaching younger groups. He also enjoys mixing with other cultures and travelling. Please feel free to contact Miguel for any queries or if you would like to get involved with Sussex basketball.
