This webpage has been created as a means to collate and publicise the array of school sports competitions that run across all age groups throughout the county of Sussex.
About School Competition Managers
Over time we hope this central resource will enable staff, performers, parents and anyone else who may be interested to access results, league tables, upcoming fixtures and an array of statistics that give a true perspective of the quantity and quality of competitive school sport across Sussex as well as providing news of upcoming events and celebrating the success of the individuals and teams that take part.
Competition Manager Framework
Launched in September 2005, the National Competition Framework for young people sets out the following vision:
- a world-class system of competitive sport for young people;
- transformation of the content, structure and presentation of competitive opportunities for young people of school age;
- a heightened profile for school sport and, specifically, competitive opportunities.
Work is already underway to develop a single competitive framework for each sport that includes competitions in schools and clubs. The challenge is to deliver high quality pathways which will leave a lasting legacy up to and beyond the 2012 Olympics. For more information please click here.
