Opportunities for Primary Schools

Throughout 2016/17 Active Sussex will be offering a range of exciting opportunities for primary schools so keep an eye on this page to see what is happening in Sussex. 

SLUK Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism (QCF) – Location – University of Brighton (Falmer Campus)

– The Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism is a recognised qualification that aims to upskill primary school teachers, higher level teaching assistants and teaching assistants and/or coaches with extensive experience to improve the overall delivery of the physical education curriculum within primary schools.

• Thursday 18th and Friday 19th of May
• Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd of June
• Thursday 13th and Friday 14th of July

Cross Curricular Links- Bringing Learning To Life – Location – The Mill Academy, Crawley

– Active Sussex will be running this course on Wednesday 24th of May, for further information click here

– This courses focuses on how cross-curricular links can be used to enhance and secure learning in Literacy, Numeracy and PE.

– Essential for PE, Numeracy and Literacy Coordinators, teachers with an interest in Numeracy and/or Literacy and PE, and any teachers looking for new and exciting ideas to bring student learning to life!

Primary Cricket CPD – Location – Hurst College, Hurstpierpoint, Hassocks  

– In conjunction with the Sussex Cricket Foundation and Hurst College, Mid Sussex Active are running this female only course on Friday 28th April from 3.30-5.30pm

– A course for female teachers and school staff looking to develop their confidence and skills to deliver high quality cricket at their school.

– Course aims to give female teachers greater confidence to manage cricket teams and clubs at their school.
