Hailsham Bowling Club Receives National Quality Mark Accreditation
Hailsham Bowling Club joined a select group of bowls clubs to be awarded Clubmark accreditation in Sussex.
The Sussex based club was reconised by County Sports Partnership, Active Sussex, as continuously providing high quality opportunities to new and potential bowlers for outdoor lawn bowls.
Clubmark is the universally acknowledged accreditation scheme for community sports clubs. It shows that a club provides the right environment to ensure the welfare of members and encourage everyone to enjoy sport and stay involved throughout their lives.
Peter Baker, Hailsham Bowling Clubs Clubmark Secretary, said: ‘We are delighted to achieve Clubmark accreditation status. This achievement recognises the fantastic work by our coaches and volunteers who make this a club to be proud of.’
Active Sussex is licensed by Sport England to award Clubmark status to sports clubs. Anthony Statham, Sport Development Manager, said ‘Active Sussex was delighted to support Hailsham Bowling Club through the Clubmark process.
They have demonstrated a real commitment to developing their club and delivering high quality opportunities for people in their community.’
Anyone looking to take up bowls will be given a warm welcome at Hailsham Bowling Club who are always looking for new members. They offer newcomers the chance to take part in coached sessions.
