Sport and Recreation Alliance Resources – The Sport and Recreation Alliance is the umbrella organisation for the governing and representative bodies of sport and recreation in the UK and represents 320 members – organisations like The FA, the Rugby Football Union, UK Athletics, the Ramblers, British Rowing and the Exercise, Movement and Dance Partnership.
They have put together guidance to provide sports clubs with an in-depth understanding of the elements of safeguarding.
UK Coaching – UK Coaching is the UK’s technical agency for coaching, established as a charity more than 30 years ago to promote for the public benefit the education of sports coaches, youth and community sports leaders, physical education teachers and other people engaged in the teaching and encouragement of sporting skills in the fields of physiology, biomechanics, psychology, sociology, philosophy and other sports-related subjects.

Safeguarding Code in Martial Arts – recognises clubs or providers in England who have reached and maintain excellent safeguarding standards. Governing bodies, associations, organisations, franchisers and activity deliverers can work towards attaining recognition along with clubs and individual instructors, coaches and teachers outside of a club structure.

Child Sexual Exploitation in Sport – explores how child sexual exploitation can go unrecognised and how it affects young people, parents and coaches. Provided by Educare in partnership with NWG funded by Sport England and does have a CPD.
Nick is the Strategic Workforce Officer for Active Sussex, leading on workforce development for Active Sussex and the implementation of the Workforce Delivery Plan. Nick leads on projects such as the Workforce Investment Fund, Coach Core and Project 500, and is also the CYP Safeguarding Lead Officer for Active Sussex.
