Active Sussex begins media partnership with Platinum Publishing Group

Categories: Active Sussex News Corporate Partners

Regional business magazine and Sussex County Sports Partnership ‘Active Sussex’ join forces to bring sport and physical activity messaging to a new audience – the local business sector.

Active Sussex are pleased to announce their new partnership with Platinum Business Magazine – a monthly magazine owned by the Platinum Publishing Group. The partnership gives Active Sussex access to 500,000 readers across the Print and Digital channels and helps us to reach new corporate audiences.

With Platinum Publishing reaching 92% of every business in the region, we are delighted to have access to such a wide business sector from automotive to banking and telecommunications to specialist education.

Active Sussex will be providing monthly editorial pieces for the magazine, keeping the business community abreast of local sporting successes, national to local campaigns and our upcoming events including; the Sussex School Games, the Parallel Youth Games and the much-anticipated annual Sussex Sports Awards.

Laurence Elphick, formerly Managing Director of Juice 107.2 and now Head of Sport at Platinum is a long-time supporter of Active Sussex and was instrumental in setting up the partnership, which sees Platinum Business Magazine sponsoring the Young Sports Personality of the Year award at the 2018 Sussex Sports Awards.

Talking about the partnership, Laurence said, “As Editor of Platinum Sport I saw an opportunity to link up with the great work being done by Active Sussex across the county to encourage local people to take up physical activity and sport.

“For our readership, sport and activity are an important part of their lives, whether they regularly watch sport, volunteer in the community or are actively running marathons, doing charity cycles or out at the golf course.

“We all know that physical activity is great for our mental wellbeing and can boost our performance in the workplace – it’s a no brainer that our productive business community is interested in being more active and it is my hope that this partnership will inspire them to engage with and support Sussex sport!”

We look forward to working with Laurence and the team over the coming months and to breaking new ground among the thriving Sussex business community. To find about more about Platinum Business magazine and the Platinum Club visit their website:
