Active Sussex Network awarded CPD status by CIMSPA
Thursday 11 February 2021
Following our announcement in December that we have entered an Employer Partnership with The Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), we are pleased to confirm that the Active Sussex Network has officially been awarded 2.5 Continuing Professional Development (CPD) points.
CIMSPA is the professional development body for the UK’s sport and physical activity sector, committed to supporting, developing and enabling professionals and organisations to succeed as, as a result, inspired the nation to become more active.
The announcement of the CPD award for the Active Sussex Network means that anyone who attends a session at the Network event on 25 February will be awarded 2.5 CPD points and can officially use this as part of their ongoing professional development.
Our partnership with CIMSPA and the CPD accreditation of the Active Sussex Network will further help us deliver our workforce development outcomes in Sussex, and continue the work to achieve Sport England’s aim of professionalising the sport and physical activity workforce.

We will be hosting a CIMSPA Information Webinar on Thursday 18 February, 10-11:30am. This will be an opportunity for partners, clubs, groups and individuals to find out more about our partnership with CIMSPA and the benefits of becoming CIMSPA members. We will also be discussing some useful context behind the new Sport England strategy ‘Uniting the Movement’, as well.
