This guide provides access to the FREE funded provisions available to you during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Active Sussex have teamed up with REBOOT, providing young people and their families access to local sports and activities, directly into their own homes.
The below schedule of activities are FREE to access.
We encourage everyone across Sussex to get involved, keep active and improve mental well-being.
Providing 30 minutes of Basketball skills and topics of the game. These exciting online basketball sessions will provide access to learning new life long skills required, giving you a head start to join the largest Basketball provider in Sussex post lockdown.
Fit and Fab Families
Teaching basic boxing techniques and standing core exercises. The sessions will also provide you with equipment free HIIT/conditioning classes.
Brighton Yoga Foundation
This 30 minute online yoga class with Brighton Yoga Foundation is both fun and relaxing. Yoga is a healthy activity accessible to all young people. Benefits include: improving posture, reducing anxiety and helping you to relax and form better sleeping patterns. Our teachers – Tamsin (Sprite Yoga) and Durgha (Mindful Warriors) – have experience working within schools and FE and are keen to bring yoga to the next generation.
Online beginners boxing tutorial combined with a HIIT workout using bodyweight exercises. Learn something new and improve your fitness with us. Suitable for all levels of ability and fitness.
Come and test your football skills by trying the Barcelona Skills Square with Kevin Green who has coached in professional academies in Spain.
The Barcelona skills square will help you improve your touch & technique whilst challenging you to try new skills and improving your fitness.
Brighton & Hove Healthy Lifestyles Team – Zumba
ZUMBA is a dance fitness class suitable for any fitness level. It incorporates Latin inspired & chart music to create a fun and energising class. You will learn new dance routines choreographed to set tracks, which will hopefully leave you feeling inspired & upbeat.
30 minute session, introducing you to adapted sports, encompassing gameplay and skill building. Fun for all the family. Equipment required will be found around the home eg. Water bottle instead of hand weights. All home based exercise.
Up-Grade Training and Therapy Ltd
Kickboxing, Mixed Martial arts and Fitness lessons. Young people would need a clear space of no less than 3×3 metres, loose fitting clothes and plenty of water. Given the nature of the online, non-contact service, equipment would not be necessary.
Hiit Training with Hastings Borough Council
A 30 minutes session in which you will give an all-out 100% effort through quick, intense bursts of exercise, followed by short recovery periods. No equipment required, wear loose fitting clothes and have a drink close by.
Marina Dance Studios
REBOOT has been an great way for us to engage with more young people during the Covid-19 lockdown. Being part of such a dynamic online activity allows us to continue to empower young people through our StreetDance tutorials whilst everyone is staying safe and staying home. No equipment required.
