This Girl Can is a Sport England campaign supporting and inspiring women everywhere to get moving in ways that work for them.
This Girl Can is a Sport England national campaign. It’s a celebration of active women everywhere who are doing their thing, no matter how they do it, how they look or even how sweaty they get.
From day one, the award-winning campaign has been shaking up the way women get active and changing the rules of the game. Take a look at the journey of the campaign since 2015.
The latest phase of the campaign – We Like The Way You Move – focuses on women from lower-income and underrepresented groups – including Black women, Asian Muslim women, pregnant women, new mothers and older women. The campaign will aim to overcome to deep-rooted barriers these women face when it comes to getting active, addressing inclusion, affordability and tailored support.
This Girl Can also aims to address the enjoyment gap with a focus on four main action areas – Social, Suitable, Self-Affirming, and Safe – helping more women to feel that becoming active is a rewarding, pleasurable experience.
