Here are some resources to assist Sussex schools with planning and implementing physical activity into their day-to-day lessons.
The Chief Medical Officers guidelines recommend that children and young people engage in at least 60 minutes of physical activity a day, of which 30 minutes should be in school (PPSP Key Indicator 1).

Sussex based Balfour Primary School utilised the Daily Mile to get pupils more active as an intervention either within or between more sedentary lessons.
Alongside improving the fitness levels of their pupils, staff also found that it improved behaviour, improved focus and developed pupil-student relationships.
