Five leisure trusts operate sports facilities in Sussex:
Freedom Leisure – the leading non-profit leisure trust in the South East, it manages 35 leisure and fitness centres across Sussex, Kent & Surrey, including flagship centre, K2 Crawley.
Impulse Leisure – a charitable company providing community leisure and recreation facilities. Impulse Leisure Centres in Sussex are: Lancing Manor, Southwick, Wadurs & Chanctonbury Sport & Leisure.
Places for People Leisure – a specialist leisure management company that manages facilities on behalf of Local Authorities across the UK. In Sussex they manage Steyning, Pavilions in the Park, Broadbridge Heath & Billingshust Leisure Centres.
South Downs Leisure – a charitable trust, which is responsible for the management and operation of 5 leisure facilities on behalf of Worthing Borough Council, which serve over 100,000 residents of Worthing Borough and beyond. All sites are located near a main rail station.
Wave Leisure – at the heart of improving health & well-being in the community. After taking over the operating of Lewes District Council leisure facilities in 2006, they have centres across Sussex, including Peacehaven, Seaford, Lewes & Downs Leisure Centres.
