Active Sussex Network and Conference

The Active Sussex Network brings together member organisations and local partners that deliver sport and physical activity across Sussex.

What is the Active Sussex Network?

The Active Sussex Network brings together member organisations and local partners that deliver sport and physical activity across Sussex including: local authorities, leisure trusts, national governing bodies of sport, health agencies, educational & community organisations.

Meeting twice a year, partners receive strategic policy briefings, attend themed workshops and discussions, and have the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the county.

Active Sussex Network 2023

The Active Sussex Network took place on Tuesday, March 7  at The American Express Community Stadium, Brighton.

During the event, delegates heard about our plans for 2023-28, and delved into the Year 1 implementation as we kick-started the next phase in our mission to enhance the health and wellbeing of everyone across Sussex through physical activity and movement.

Delegates from across Sussex gained an understanding of the purpose, vision and outcomes of the strategy, learned how it was relevant to them and their work, and explored the opportunities to implement change.

The Active Sussex Network was back for 2022 – with a bit of a twist!

The ‘Active Sussex Network Festival of Forums‘ ran from Monday 28 February – Friday 4 March.

The network festival invited partners to attend a range of key forums and working groups. The forums involved engaging sessions with a chance to network, collaborate with partners, and gain valuable takeaways to implement into day to day working practices.
