The Active Sussex Network brings together member organisations and local partners that deliver sport and physical activity across Sussex, including local authorities, leisure trusts, national governing bodies of sport, health agencies, educational & community organisations.
Meeting twice a year, partners receive strategic policy briefings, attend themed workshops and discussions, and have the opportunity to network with colleagues from across the county.
The Active Sussex Conference 2026 will take place on Tuesday, September 29 at the University of Sussex, Falmer.
The conference focuses on places, people and partnerships, as we welcome internationally recognised designer, placemaker and social entrepreneur Wayne Hemingway MBE as key-note speaker, alongside local experts to share their experiences and learnings.

Ed supports Sport England's targeted investment into facilities in the region, linking national strategy to local priorities and delivery. Ed also delivers the Sussex School Games programme, and events including the Sussex Sports Awards, Parallel Youth Games, and the Active Sussex Conference and Network.
