The Children and Young People Investment Forums or ‘CYP forums’ provide a platform for our sport and physical activity partners across Sussex to share challenges and successes and to learn from each other.
Developed in response to isolation during the Covid-19 pandemic in March 2020, the Children and Young People Investment Forums or ‘CYP Forums’ have been a great way for us to stay in touch with our sport and physical activity partners across Sussex via monthly virtual forums.
We share the latest national and county CYP news from the Government, Sport England and Active Partnerships, and provide a platform for organisations to share challenges and successes and to learn from each other.
The forums attract partners from across Sussex, and includes local authority sport development and wellbeing teams, regional and county sport leads, sports coaches and coordinators, community support teams, youth workers, teachers and volunteers.
The forum has helped guide Active Sussex’s new CYP Investment Framework that supports the Sport England and Active Sussex strategies and pulls together the key strands for our team; Education, Community and Events.

CYP Investment Fund Criteria EligibilityLocal interest and insight has led to the creation of two local forums in Arun and Chichester, and Rother, with more to follow. These local forums meet every 6 weeks and give local partners an opportunity to combine knowledge and resources, tackling local issues to target young people in areas of inequality and inactivity.
If you would like to join the Sussex and/or local forums or would like to know more about the CYP Investment Fund, please get in touch with Andy Wright (see details below)
