Sport Welfare: Supporting Wellbeing in Your Community

Join us for an online session exploring how you can help the members of your community feel supported, respected, & empowered.

If you are involved at a sports club or physical activity group, as a coach, leader, Club Welfare Officer, fitness provider, committee member, parent, or in any other capacity, then we’d love to have you join us for this session.

You will learn:

  • How trauma, stress and burnout impacts wellbeing
  • What external and internal factors keep us in a negative mental headspace and how we can tackle them
  • Your role and responsibilities in supporting others with their mental health
  • How to respond to and report mental health concerns with real-life scenarios

This session will be led by Helena Keenan, Sport Welfare Manager and Sport and Exercise Psychologist in Training. Helena previously worked as a Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner in Merton and Sutton NHS Talking Therapies, in which she treated clients with mental health concerns.
