Community Initiative Funding
The Community Initiative Fund has provided vital funds to community groups and organisations across West Sussex since it was started in 2006.

Sussex Police & Crime Commissioner Cummunity Safety Fund
Grant awards up to £5,000 to local organisations and projects that aim to reduce crime and improve community safety. Deadline: 09 February 2018

Awards granted to small community and voluntary groups whose work benefits people across Sussex

Sussex County Netball Association Bursary
Individual applications open four times a year, offering financial support for Netball qualifications

Arun Wellbeing Small Grants
Grants for amounts up to £1,000 are available for voluntary, community and charity groups in the Arun district, which covers Arundel, Bognor Regis, Littlehampton and many of the surrounding villages

Badminton England Club Support Grants

To support your club to develop Badminton England are offering club support grants of up to £500. The grant should be used to help your club develop and grow which could be done for example by, increasing the number of sessions, developing your coaches, running an open event.Clubs must be affiliated to Badminton England. Please complete and submit the short form in order to apply for a small grant. 

Building Stronger Communities Fund
Up to £1,500 to community and voluntary groups in East Sussex with an income of up to £50,000 to support activities that follow the values and principles of asset based approaches for building stronger communities

Burgess Hill Town Council – Grants for Community Groups
Burgess Hill Town Council provides grants to local voluntary organisations and community groups. The deadline for Minor Grants (up to £1,000) is 31 August. Major Grants (£1,000+) deadline is 30 September

Chichester District Council grant programme
Applications must be from organisations delivering projects encouraging active and healthier lifestyles for all.

Up to £1,500 Community Cohesion funding supporting activities that help improve relationships between people from different backgrounds

Crawley Borough Council Community Grants
Crawley Borough Council supports a range of Voluntary and Community Organisations to provide activities, including services or projects, for local people. Closed for applications.

Crawley Borough Council Small Grants
Small Grants (from £50-£1,500) available for local voluntary and community groups. This scheme will only fund organised activity provided for community benefit

East Brighton Trust Small Grants
Up to £500 available for groups working in Moulsecoomb, Bates Estate, Saunders Park, Manor Farm, Whitehawk or Higher Bevendean to purchase materials or run an event

East Grinstead Town Council Grants
The Council has two grants – Community Revenue Grant, which is determined for allocation in the September of each year, and Youth Sport Grant, which is considered in December of each year

Everyone Active Sporting Champions Scheme
The scheme provides funding and support for talented athletes from across the UK. With access to over 150 of Everyone Active’s leisure centres across the country, athletes on the scheme are able to use the highest standard of facilities for their ongoing training.

Haywards Heath Town Council – small Grants Programme
The Town Council allocates a modest annual budget to award small grants to voluntary and community groups to support voluntary and community initiatives in the local area and to help create opportunities for the residents of Haywards Heath

The Homity Trust 
The Trust is an independent, Brighton-based charitable trust . The Homity Trust’s trustees and grants committee meet quarterly to consider the best quality applications and can award smaller (<£1000) funds quickly. Community causes preferred. Applications must be made via the form on the website. 

Horsham – Set4Success
The Charity will support young talented sportspeople from the Horsham District to achieve their potential. S4S works in partnership with SportsAid to maximise the support that can be given and to coordinate with national talent funding

Horsham District Council Community Grant Scheme
Grants up to £1,000 available for local voluntary, community or not-for-profit organisations who contribute to the improvement of quality of life for district residents

Mid Sussex District Council Grants
The Council funds projects that support community activity. Facility (Capital), Spotlight, Revenue, Economic & Community Development Fund Grants are available.

The Pebble Trust
The Pebble Trust is a charitable organisation focused on improving the quality of life in Brighton and Hove. They invite applications for funding from local organisations involved in community work, education, care, heritage and the arts

Wealden Community Grants Programme 
Two types of grants available; the Small Grant Scheme which is for grants between £500 – £3000 and the Capital Scheme which is for grants between £1000 – £10,000. The match funding required for projects can now be entirely “in-kind” such as volunteer time, member contributions etc.

Worthing Community Chest Grant
Small grants programme for local voluntary and community groups that awards grants of up to £1,500 to support local community projects
