Carers UK – Carers Active Campaign Evaluation Report (July 2024)

Carers UK - Carers Active Campaign Evaluation Report

This report from July 2024, evaluates the Carers Active Campaign run by Carers UK, and is split into three parts:

● Part 1 provides an overview of the Carers UK Carers Active campaign, the change model and intended outcomes, and the methods used for this evaluation
● Part 2 describes the findings and supporting evidence, for unpaid carers who engaged with the campaign in some way, and for the wider ‘system’, and;
● Part 3 sets out the implications of these findings and recommendations for how the learning from this campaign could be taken forward by those commissioning and / or delivering support services for unpaid carers, and those organisations that promote and offer physical activity opportunities both for carers and across the wider population.

Overall, this evaluation has shown that the campaign has been successful.

The below links also provide information about the campaign, the Carers Active Hub and Carers Active Best Practice Guide.

Active Sussex delivered a webinar with Carers UK on April 24, 2024 to hear about the campaign and insight from carers regarding barriers from a behaviour change perspective, the wide range of information, advice and resources available and some thoughts from local partners around engaging with carers.
