PROACTIVE: A person-centred roadmap addressing risk, empowering activity for everyone - A Cross-Sector Health Improvement Programme

Sport England have commissioned the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine (UK) to lead a cross-sector analysis and consultation around risk in people living with long-term medical conditions (LTCs) to increase their physical activity (PA) levels.

This work aims to agree the components of the journey required to remove unnecessary and bureaucratic barriers for people wanting to become more active.

This report sets out the results of this project. It proposes a series of cross-sector work packages focusing on policy,
standards, resources, and data. The overall programme is underpinned by a governance structure and a communications strategy.
