Supporting Teenage Girls in Physical Education

This toolkit is designed to help educators address the specific challenges faced by teenage girls in PE, creating a more inclusive, supportive, and empowering environment. By understanding the unique barriers girls may encounter, educators can foster positive relationships with physical activity and encourage lifelong engagement in sport and exercise.

Produced by the Association for Physical Education.

Youth Ambassador, Issey Kyson, has launched her toolkit to support schools in raising awareness around puberty, periods, and the menstrual cycle, and their impact on girls’ relationship with physical activity, PE, and sport.
