Level 5/6 – Professional Vocational Qualifications: Primary School PE Specialism and PE Subject Leadership

  • Bespoke physical education qualifications for primary school teachers, higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs) and teaching assistants (TAs) and coaches.
  • Developed by the Association for Physical Education and Sports Leaders UK.
  • Upskill primary colleagues to be able to assist (Level 5) or lead (Level 6) the delivery of high quality primary school PE.
  • These degree level qualifications are proven, effective use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding and are designed to help teachers and primary school staff deliver high quality, sustainable PE and part of the curriculum.

West Sussex PE Conference

  • All I’s on Sussex is the theme of this year’s West Sussex Primary PE Conference.
  • The day will focus on the Ofsted themes of Intent, Implementation & Impact
  • Explore the place of PE, sport and well-being within the school day & beyond.

Create Development – real gym

  • Reframe your view of gymnastics and challenge existing stereotypes.
  • Understand why gymnastics is an important part of the PE curriculum.
  • Set up and explore large climbing apparatus and associated activities.

The FA Primary Teachers Award

  • An FA accredited course aimed at primary school teachers and staff.
  • Develop a greater awareness of the contribution invasion games have to KS1 & KS2 PE.
  • Understand how to organise basic FUNdamental games to help develop Physical Literacy.

Assessment in PE

Albion in the Community – Premier League Primary Stars

  • Would your pupils benefit from innovative football-themed lessons and activities?
