Level 5/6 – Professional Vocational Qualifications: Primary School PE Specialism and PE Subject Leadership

  • Bespoke physical education qualifications for primary school teachers, higher level teaching assistants (HLTAs) and teaching assistants (TAs) and coaches.
  • Developed by the Association for Physical Education and Sports Leaders UK.
  • Upskill primary colleagues to be able to assist (Level 5) or lead (Level 6) the delivery of high quality primary school PE.
  • These degree level qualifications are proven, effective use of the Primary PE and Sport Premium funding and are designed to help teachers and primary school staff deliver high quality, sustainable PE and part of the curriculum.

Albion in the Community – Premier League Primary Stars

  • Would your pupils benefit from innovative football-themed lessons and activities?
  • Would your school like to link up with the Premier League and Brighton & Hove Albion?
  • Premier League Primary Stars is designed to use the appeal of the Premier League and professional football clubs to inspire
    children to learn, be active and develop important life skills. Here in Sussex it is delivered by Albion in the Community (AITC) –
    the official charity of Brighton & Hove Albion Football Club.


Mid Sussex Active CPD Programme

  • Mid Sussex Active run a variety of training courses and workshops for teachers and school staff for MSA schools
  • Their CPD programme is now open to all primary schools across Sussex

Tech Know Trail Active Learning Game

  • Tech-Know Trail is a new, exciting treasure hunt style game developed by Wildgoose, in partnership with Active Sussex.

  • It is a active learning game in the form of an App, designed to get primary school pupils more physically active throughout the school day by making Maths and English  lively and fun!

  • A useful tool to help achieve the 30 active minutes in school and a great way to use physical activity to enhance learning in other areas of the curriculum.
