Rugby Union is a full contact sport conventionally played by two teams of 15 players – Sevens, Tag & Beach rugby are all variants of the game.
The Rugby Football Union is the national governing body for grassroots and elite rugby in England, with 2,000 autonomous clubs in its membership www.rfu.com
Spirit of Brighton is part of the nationwide Spirit of Rugby project spread across 2 years and 15 communities with a focus on 16-24 year-olds. This project is funded by Spirit of 2012 – an independent funding body, established by the Big Lottery Fund.
The Spirit of Brighton project aims to raise awareness of disability sport specifically wheelchair and mixed ability rugby, within the Brighton area through events and taster sessions. To find out more please visit the projects facebook page.
