This virtual forum will reflect on the Activity Alliance’s workforce gap report and explore how the sport and physical activity sector can improve its recruitment and retention strategies for disabled people. We will be joined by the Activity Alliance and there will be good practice examples from local partners, including a look at the Disability Confident Scheme. There will be opportunities for questions and further discussions throughout the forum.
Learning objectives:
- Improve understanding of the current sport and physical activity workforce landscape
- Identify and discuss barriers and enablers for disabled people to join and progress within the sport and physical activity sector
- Share examples of good practice and challenges to help individuals/organisations diversify their workforce
- Raise awareness of the Disability Confident Scheme
The virtual forum will be held via Zoom and will take place from 11.30am-1.00pm.
