Nominations for the Sussex Sports Awards 2022 are now open.
The prestigious awards evening, which is returning to Sussex County Cricket Ground on Thursday 24th November, celebrates the achievements and commitments of individuals and organisations from the county’s sport and physical activity landscape.
Two new awards have been added to the programme for 2022; the Active School of the Year category is a revamped pre-pandemic award focussing on a commitment to raising the standards of PE and physical activity within school settings. And, the new, Health Improvement Award, which recognises the link between physical activity and health, and will reward professionals working within the sector who champion this.
In addition, nominations are invited for Sports Personality of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, the Community Engagement Award, the Inclusion & Diversity Award and the Outstanding Contribution to Sports & Physical Activity Award.
Nominations close at 12pm midday on Friday 21st October, before being put before a panel of judges who will announce their shortlist of finalists the following week.
