Will you sign a pledge to be more sustainable?

Organisations are urged to sign the Going for Green pledge to become more sustainable.

The pledge coincides with the Pedal for Paris initiative – an eight-day bike ride from Manchester to Paris in July 2024, to promote green action and innovation ahead of the Olympic Games in the French capital.

The ride is being led by Sport England chair Chris Boardman and aims to galvanise the sport and physical activity sector to step up its work in tackling climate change.

If you would like to demonstrate your support for Pedal for Paris and your commitment to becoming more environmentally sustainable, you can add the name of your club, group or organisation to the pledge here: buddle.co/learning-and-support-resources/environmental-sustainability/pedal-paris

Sport England recently revealed their ‘Every Move’ environmental sustainability strategy, which is designed to encourage the sports and activity sector to unite to fight against the impact of climate change.

You can learn more about the steps you can take to becoming more green, from promoting active travel to improving energy efficiency and increasing biodiversity at your venues and events, via the buddle website or via the Active Sussex Environmental Social Governance page.
